Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant
Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP) is the largest gas centrifuge uranium enrichment facility. Located 160 miles southeast of Tehran, Natanz is Iran’s oldest and largest uranium enrichment facility.
The central part of the FEP is situated underground, with two cascade halls capable of containing 50,000 centrifuges.
Under the Iran deal, Iran must reduce the number of operational centrifuges at Natanz from 19,000 to 5,060. Natanz is also the only facility in which uranium enrichment research and development activities can take place.
January 21, 2013 there was hardly any infrastructure or vehicle but by October 4, 2015 there was a noted rise as seen from satellite imagery.
